A collection inspired by places I’ve lived in or spent time in, these are paintings that were all executed after moving away or leaving such places. They originate from photographs which is important because the paintings explore the space between the real place and a photograph, between the real place and memory, between past and present, between public and private, between belonging and distance, between belonging and longing.
